Switch plates, to me, are the most practicable way in which to display my work.
I call it functional art. Together they serve an essential purpose and are taken in as part of the décor, lending ambience to the room and insight about the owner.
Not all my designs come in all the different switch plate configurations, however. This is due to the nature of the configuration itself. The openings of the outlets and rockers,
specifically take away too much surface area to allow for a complete design. You wouldn’t want your standing bear to be displayed with no chest and no belly!! On the other hand, if I
made the design to accommodate the space, then it would end up much too small.
The switchplates below are a fair sampling of what your outlets and rockers will look like. Not all designs are represented here. |
